At the request of one of our author clients we have developed a new service with our marketing department. We can now provide you with optimized keyword research in any language!

In other news, I now speak SEO.

Many authors, including me, assume that simply translating their English keywords into another language is enough, but as it turns out this is not always effective. A direct translation does not guarantee that readers in different countries will actually use those terms when searching for a book like yours. Instead, we conduct in-depth research into how native speakers search for books in their own language, selecting high-impact, locally relevant keywords that optimize your book’s visibility.

For just €10 per keyword, we use advanced search engine tools to identify the most effective terms for your book’s discoverability and ranking on Amazon.

And for those of you who would prefer to DIY it- here’s how…

First, we analyze multiple factors to ensure your keywords are both strategic and powerful. We begin with search volume, which indicates how often a keyword has been searched in the past 30 days. A keyword with over 100 searches is decent, several hundred is good, and anything over 1,000 is excellent—meaning more potential readers actively looking for books like yours.

Next, we evaluate competing products, determining how many books are already ranking for the same keyword. While fewer competitors are generally better, what really matters is the balance between search volume and competition. This is why we also calculate the Cerebro IQ Score, a key indicator of keyword strength. This score increases when a keyword has high search volume and low competition. A score above 50 is good, and anything above 100 is excellent.

Once we gather all this data, we carefully select the strongest possible keywords that match your book’s genre, theme, and audience. The goal is to help Amazon’s algorithm understand exactly what your book is about, ensuring that it appears in front of the right readers. However, not all high-scoring keywords are necessarily the best choice. In some cases, niche-specific terms with lower search volume are essential for accurately defining your book and reaching the most relevant audience. That’s why we create a tailored mix of high-performing and descriptive keywords to maximize your book’s visibility and sales potential.
